Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 12, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Vanly ("we", "us") collects, uses, stores, and protects information about business owners and their customers who use our Platform.
2. Information We Collect
Account information: name, email address, and password (encrypted) when you create an account.
Business information: business name, service types, pricing, staff details, availability, and any content (text, images) you upload to your business profile.
Booking and customer information: names, contact details, vehicle or service details, and booking history submitted by customers when booking a service through a business's page on Vanly.
Payment information: if you connect a Stripe account or make a payment, payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe; Vanly does not store full card numbers.
Usage data: basic technical information such as browser type, device type, and pages visited, used to maintain and improve the Platform.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to: operate and maintain the booking and business-management features of the Platform; process payments and platform fees; send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, support replies, account notifications); respond to support requests; and improve and secure the Platform.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate Vanly, each of which processes data under its own privacy policy:
- Supabase — database hosting and authentication (data is hosted on servers located in the EU).
- Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
5. Data Sharing
A business owner using Vanly can see the booking and contact details their own customers submit. Vanly's administrators may access account and booking data as needed to provide support, investigate abuse, or maintain the Platform. We do not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
6. Data Retention
We retain account and booking data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we may retain certain records (such as financial and fee records) for a reasonable period as required for accounting, legal, or dispute-resolution purposes.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make such a request, contact us at team@vanly.one.
8. Cookies
The Platform may use basic cookies or local storage necessary for authentication and core functionality (for example, keeping you logged in). We do not currently use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
9. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's Privacy
Vanly is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
12. Platform Fee Balances and Account Access
If you're on the Commission plan and take a customer payment directly (cash or card reader, outside Stripe), Vanly's 2% platform fee on that booking is tracked as a balance owed rather than collected at the time of the booking. Vanly does not store a card or charge anything automatically for this — if you have an outstanding balance, your dashboard and public booking link may be temporarily restricted until you pay it off yourself, directly, through an ordinary Stripe checkout for the exact amount owed. If a required subscription payment cannot be collected after repeated attempts, the same kind of restriction may apply until it's resolved.
13. Contact
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or want to exercise your data rights, contact us at team@vanly.one or through the Support section of your dashboard.
